About Rob

Rob Power — Buyers Agent

People over transactions.

I've spent the better part of a decade — 8 to 10 years — investing in Australian property through multiple market cycles, building a multi-million dollar personal portfolio along the way. That experience was sharpened working alongside some of the country's established national buyers agents, learning what genuinely separates a good purchase from a costly one.

In just over seven years of investing, I built that portfolio to the point where it replaced — and retired — my income. Now my mission is simple: to help others do the same, following the very same blueprint for success that worked for me.

Somewhere along the way, the industry lost something. I started iScout Property to bring connection, clarity and integrity back to the relationship between a buyer and their agent — no spin, no pressure, just honest, transparent work done in your corner.

Here in Cairns, that means something deeper. For local home buyers, I'm not chasing a quick flip or a yield figure on a spreadsheet. I'm helping you match a home to the life you'll live inside it — for 10, 20, even 30 years. That's a responsibility I don't take lightly.

Current valuations are derived from independent market data, comparable sales and desktop assessments — they are not formal bank or registered valuations and are subject to change with market conditions. Compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) figures normalise as hold periods lengthen and may fluctuate materially for properties held less than 12 months. What the industry says

Trusted by the agents
who open the doors.

Access to off-market and pre-market property is earned, not bought. Here's what local selling agents say about working with Rob.

"Working with a wide range of buyers agents, you quickly learn who genuinely advocates for their clients, and Rob is absolutely one of those standouts. Rob continuously goes above and beyond. He'll pick up the phone after hours, chase opportunities that others might miss, and put in the legwork required to secure the right property for his buyers. His knowledge of the market is solid, his instincts are sharp, and he has a genuine ability to spot value and opportunity early. What truly sets Rob apart is the way he builds relationships. He treats agents with respect, communicates clearly, and works collaboratively, which in turn opens doors to off-market and pre-market opportunities for his clients. That sort of access only comes when a buyer's agent has earned trust, and Rob has certainly done that. His tenacity, professionalism, and work ethic make him a pleasure to deal with. If you're looking for a buyer's agent who genuinely works hard, acts with heart, and will push to create the best possible outcomes for his clients, Rob is a great buyer's agent."
NBNicole BraggRay White, Edge Hill — Cairns
"Buying our first home felt overwhelming at times, but Rob was there every step of the way. He's incredibly direct and honest, which is exactly what you need when making such a big decision. He never told us what we wanted to hear — he told us what we needed to hear, always with our best interests at heart. Rob's understanding of the market, buyer psychology and competition helped us make confident decisions, even when things felt challenging. His guidance, patience and genuine care made a huge difference to our experience, and I can honestly say we wouldn't be in our beautiful new home without him. I couldn't recommend him more highly."

"We recently had the pleasure of working with Rob for the purchase of our acreage property on the Sunshine Coast, and we couldn't recommend him more highly. From the outset, Rob's knowledge of the market and the buying process gave us confidence that we were making informed decisions. He provided honest, strategic advice throughout the negotiations and offered valuable insights that we simply wouldn't have had on our own. If you're looking for someone who is professional, highly knowledgeable and genuinely invested in helping you make the right decision, we would have no hesitation in recommending Rob."

Start Your Journey
01

One-on-One Initial Consultation

We sit down to understand what you're really looking for — and what you're not. No pressure, no script — just clarity.

02

The Brief — Buyer & Seller Psychology

Locations, non-negotiables, strategy: forever home or stepping stone? Add value or buy turnkey? We define the brief together — and unpack how sellers and agents think on the other side.

03

Get Your Ducks in a Row

Brokers, banks, accountants, timeframes, conditions — all aligned before we ever step into an open home. This is what lets us act faster than the competition.

04

Source the Right Properties

Pre-market, off-market and on-market opportunities — sourced through industry relationships you can't access alone. You see what most buyers never will.

05

Inspecting With Purpose

What to look for. What to say to agents. What absolutely not to say. Every inspection becomes an intelligence-gathering exercise — not a wishful walk-through.

06

Market & Property Analysis

Comparable sales, value indicators and preliminary due diligence — checking overlays, flood, bushfire and other hazards before emotion takes over.

07

Offer, Negotiate, Win

Eliminate competition. Don't overpay. Act with confidence. This is where most retail buyers either freeze or get fleeced — it's also where I add the most value.

08

Control the Asset

Property under contract, locked away. Now we finalise due diligence, finance and approvals — without the panic that comes from doing it the wrong order.

09

Settlement Prep

Coordinated handover so settlement day is a non-event — pre-settlement inspection, utilities, insurance, keys. You move in, not around it.

You stop guessing. You stop overpaying. You start buying like the people who do this every day — because now, one of them is on your team.
